Is It True That Since Leaving The JWs That You're Totally Angry & Unhappy?
by minimus inthe watchtower tries to say that "apostates" are in a bedarkened environment.
they are looking for "true freedom" which they say does not exist.
we are said to be "gnashing our teeth" and angry.

Stef, hahahaha
on topic, that is so wrong...I think at first theres a sense of lose, for losing friendships and some sort of direction in the beginning. But then its like ultimate freedom, your life is ahead of you. Very liberating...

A Letter from A Witness
by cruzanheart inone of my witness friends in england told a friend of hers out in service about how i'm not going to meetings anymore, what a shame, etc., etc., so this well-meaning little person decided she wanted to write me a letter.
i asked why, and she told me the story of this young man.
remember how i was able to leave the matter of my husband?s relationship with jehovah in his hands?

Cruzanheart,
Well written, and I think your right, you wont hear from her again. I had never heard or read I should say your story. It was refreshing, thanks for sharing!!! You certainly have been through alot with that organization, but it seems you are blessed now.
Good luck to you and your family

I need HELP!!!!!!!!!
by Samdownunder incan anyone relate and help with the nagging doubts that it really was the"truth" and we are all doing the wrong thing and being misled.
i have read a lot of information to sway me from the witnesses and to think it is only a man made religion, but still i fear i could be wrong and going against god.
how do you all deal with this feeling that surely most have experienced.

Its true, I also experienced overwhelming feelings of guilt when I first starting reading and investigating...This is something that is not going to go away right now. It takes time to read and investigate and convince yourself this is not the truth. Give it time and things will fall into place. Just remember you do not have to serve an organization led by men to serve God.
Good luck to ya!

stuck in!
by red so deep inwell, this is my first post here, and i'm kind of doing it in secret, cause i know if my parents knew of my "poisoning myself with apostates" they would not be happy at all.
anyways, my story is; i'm 17, i've been brought up "in the truth" my whole life, and now i'm starting to question the wt and christianity in general, and i have nobody to talk to about it.
i feel awkward about talking to my witness friends about it, cause i worry that if i speak out against the organazition and the wrong people (i.e; young ones around here that would never think of questioning the society) hear about it, it might result in my punishment (reproof or dfing).

Congratulations and welcome!
Hope you find answers to your questions or atleast the ear of those willing to listen. Remember most of us have gone through what you are going through now, hang in there...and things eventually get better.

Dubs who shun those not DFed/DAed who fade
by gumby inlately i have been reading alot about those who cease the dub life, and though they are not officially dfed or daed, are treated as though they are by dub family and friends.
when i was a dub , i remember viewing those who did not come to meeting's anymore nor field service......as simply "weak" or inactive.
never do i remember shunning or snubbing those who seemed to fade away.

Gumby,
Its do as I do. The elders are nice enough with you personally, but make it a point to not invite you to social gatherings, outings etc. Your no longer welcome at the weddings or graduations....and if they are brothers present they point out the danger of associating with those spiritually weak. Once the brothers notice you fading, and dont see you at the social gatherings, then you are not a good association.

Im in that current situation...
You are considered a bad association, so the elders warn everyone that socially getting together with you puts them in danger spiritually. Some of the dubs try to be subtle, but you notice the change in everyone.

What is your Favorite Scene from a Movie?
by Sweetp0985 ini thought about this topic last night for the board when watching one of my favorite movies.. 1. the man from snowy river- the part when they are going after the expensive colt and they get to the edge of the cliff and all the other riders stop and "jim" keeps going and leaps down the cliff after the wild horses.
i absolutely love that part of the movie...everytime its on i have to watch it, if not just to see this part only.. 2. love and basketball- when she tells him she will play for his heart...awwww first time i started crying.
and then the music they had playing in the background made it even worse.

The Sixth Sense: The scene where we see the first ghost of the movie. The lady who opens all the cabinet doors, and yells, "You cant hurt me anymore"....creepy....also at the end when he tells his mom about his visits with the grandmother, very emotional.
The American President: When the president gives his speech to the press at the end of the movie, "Im Andrew Shepard and I am the president" I cheered for him
Independence Day: Again when the president gives his speech, rallying the pilots before their mission. "Today we celebrate our independence day"
